Meet the founders


  • Co-Founder & Director of Construction and Strategy

    For as long as he could remember, Cal was focused on one goal: buy his first property. While working full-time as an electrician, and without any financial assistance, he diligently saved $100 per week for five years to achieve this goal by age 23. However, his decision to invest in an off-the-plan property didn't pan out as expected.

    Recognising the need to deepen his understanding of the real estate market, Cal pursued self-education through property courses, books, and online resources. Yet, he struggled to find resources that catered to his specific stage in his property journey. After years of trial and error and careful market analysis, he found success flipping property.

    Drawing on his experience and insights, Cal partnered with Matt to establish Oviss Group. Their mission? To provide accessible and personalised education, helping everyday Australians navigate the market with confidence.


  • Co-Founder & Director of Acquisition and Sales

    With over 15 years' experience as a plumber by trade, Matt had the goal to secure a better future for himself and his family. Balancing his commitment to full-time employment, he entered the property market renovating residential properties, successfully flipping three properties on his own.

    Along the way, he encountered frustrations which stemmed from the limited accessibility of education. After recognising avenues to accessing this knowledge often relied on personal connections, costly educational resources, and expensive courses, Matt and Cal were spurred to combine their efforts.

    Together, they are dedicated to offering accessible resources, educational materials, and valuable insights, aiming to empower everyday Australians to navigate their property journey with confidence.
